The singer's fifth studio album, The Loneliest Time, releases on October 21 through 604/Schoolboy/Interscope.
Canadian singer-songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen is releasing a new collaborative single featuring Rufus Wainwright later this week.
The title track of Jepsen's fifth studio album, The Loneliest Time, due out on October 21, will feature Wainwright.
The Canadian pop star teased on social media last Monday, October 3, that she’d be sharing “one more song before the album drops."
Today (October 5), the singer tweeted: “I can’t believe I finally get to say this… ‘The Loneliest Time’ (the song) ft @rufuswainwright comes out this Friday [October 7].”

Hinting at the new track's, Jepsen said: “If you like 5-part string sections, 4:30+ track lengths, and disco power ballads… you might want to check it out.”
In a previous statement, the Canadian singer spoke about her forthcoming album, saying: “I’m quite fascinated by loneliness. It can be really beautiful when you turn it over and look at it. Just like love, it can cause some extreme human reactions.”
Jepsen has already shared three songs from The Loneliest Time: ‘Western Wind’, ‘Beach House’ and most recently ‘Talking To Yourself’.
Currently on the North American leg of her headline tour, the singer is due to return to the UK and Ireland next February, having added a second night in Dublin due to phenomenal demand. The tour will culminate with a stop at Alexandra Palace in north London.
