Castlepalooza unveil comedy line-up and more new additions
Tommy Tiernan leads the chucklesome charge, while Minor Victories and Cut Chemist are among the impressive music announcements
With the clock ticking down to Castlepalooza, a raft of additions have been unveiled, including a stellar line-up at their Comedy Stage.
While Minor Victories – the new band from Mogwai's Stuart Braithwaite, Slowdive's Rachel Goswell and Editors' Justin Lockey – Cut Chemist and Baio are very welcome additions to the musical side of things, there's lots besides tunes to look forward to at the July weekender.
Tommy Tiernan (pictured) will head up proceedings at the comedy tent on Saturday night, with a venerable who's who of Irish comedy alongside; PJ Gallagher, Al Porter, Karl Spain and Fred Cooke among them. Apres Match will also be not-to-be-missed headliners there, on the Sunday night.
There's also the prospect of Culture Vultures, hosted by Tony Clayton-Lea, and Jim Carroll's lively Banter discussions, and loads more to look forward to at a festival that looks to be going from strength to strength.
Festivities kick off on July 1, with camping, weekend and day tickets still available.
