Dion is due to play two shows at the 3 Arena in April 2024.
Céline Dion’s sister has said that the music icon “doesn’t have control over her muscles,” due to an autoimmune disease called Stiff Person Syndrome.
Speaking to French-Canadian news site 7 Jours, Claudette Dion said her sibling “works hard” at combating the condition.
“In our dreams and in her’s, the idea is to return to the stage. In what state? I do not know,” she added.
The Canadian singer has been experiencing muscle spasms for some time. In January 2022, she was forced to cancel shows due to “severe and persistent” spasms.
“I’ve been dealing with problems with my health for a long time, and it’s been really difficult for me to face these challenges,” she said in December.

“Unfortunately, these spasms affect every aspect of my daily life, sometimes causing difficulties when I walk and not allowing me to use my vocal cords to sing the way I’m used to.”
Her Courage World Tour shows at Dublin’s 3Arena have already been moved from the end of March 2023, to 5 & 6 April 2024.
Stiff Person Syndrome affects the spinal column and brain, leading to overstimulated muscles. It is said to be a rare and incurable disease, although it is treatable.
