Produced by Chris Ryan (NewDad, Enola Gay, Just Mustard) and Ross Cullen, Chalk’s ‘Bliss’ is out now via Nice Swan Records and available to stream on all digital platforms.
Belfast post-punk outfit Chalk have unveiled a gripping new offering 'Bliss' feat. Fears.
It is the final single release from their upcoming Conditions II EP, out this Friday 1st March via Nice Swan Records. Their first collaborative track yet, 'Bliss' features the ethereal vocals of singer Constance Keane aka Fears [also vocals for M(h)aol].
Biting post-punk sensibilities and cinematic production are seamlessly blended with wistful harmonies and panoramic electornica on the band's new material.
“The theme of 'Bliss' was originally from a short film I wrote whilst we were at university," says bandleader Ross Cullen. "It’s about two people who once shared a love in the past seeing each other again. No words shared between them, just thoughts and an acknowledgement of what could have been.”
In support of Conditions II, Chalk will embark on a tour across the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe this spring, with performances - supporting Sprints - in Dolan's Warehouse in Limerick on 18 April, Galway's Roisin Dubh on 19 April and The Button Factory in Dublin on 3 May.
