Chance the Rapper is Expected to Drop New Album this Week
The Grammy winner smashed records with his debut LP in 2016
Chance the Rapper is set to release his next LP in a matter of days.
The Grammy-winning artist, whose debut album Coloring Book made major waves back in 2016, told the Chicago Tribune that his second album will come out "just in time for the Special Olympics".
The rapper and activist is headlining a concert in his hometown this Saturday 21 July to mark the 50th anniversary of the Special Olympics.
The day-long gig will also feature performances from Usher, Jason Mraz, Frances & the Lights, Smokey Robinson, O.A.R. and Daya - all to raise funds for the Special Olympics.
If it's going to be out in time for the concert, the album release could be any time from now to early Saturday.
"I got that feeling when people do something that has a new feel to it," Chance said, speaking on his upcoming release. "I'm excited for everybody to get that."
The rapper previously admitted to working on projects with Childish Gambino and Kanye West, so it'll be interesting to see if either feature on his sophomore LP.
For now we'll just have to keep our eyes - and ears - peeled.
