Chappell Roan has announced that she will be coming to Dublin on September 17 at the Academy as part of her Midwest Princess Tour.

Roan will be performing a series of shows across Europe and the UK this September for another tour where she will play the largest international shows she has ever headlined.

In September 2023, Chappell Roan released her debut album The Rise And Fall Of A Midwest Princess, which became internationally-acclaimed, led to sold-out tour dates in the U.S., Australia and Europe for Roan.

Currently, Roan is supporting Olivia Rodrigo on the Guts World Tour. She also made her television debut on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert where she performed her hit single ‘Red Wine Supernova’.

Roan will be embarking on her Midwest Princess Tour starting in the U.S. on April 2. She will play 28 shows across the country before making her way to Paris on September 3 for the first show of the European leg of the tour.

The Rise And Fall Of A Midwest Princess is a semi-autobiographical statement from Roan where she is able to open up about her identity and sexuality. The album helped Roan be named Amazon Music’s Breakthrough Artist of 2023 and is currently MTV’s Push Artist for March 2024 and Vevo DSCVR Artist to Watch for 2024.

She will visit Amsterdam on September 4. The singer will then have three shows across the UK starting in London on September 10, then Manchester on September 13 and Glasgow on September 15. The final performance of the tour will be the Dublin show.

For these gigs, Roan plans to have the opening sets feature drag queens as well as dress in a different theme such as homecoming dance or goth, grunge and glitter, for each show.

There will also be a limited number of “scholarship” tickets that will be awarded to fans facing financial difficulties in an effort to keep attendance affordable and the tour accessible across the world.

Presale for these shows will begin at 10 a.m. GMT on Wednesday, March 6. Tickets will become available for general sale on Friday, March 8 at 10 a.m. GMT and can be found on her website here.
