Previously known as King Charles, the musician will release his first full-length album under the new moniker on January 24, 2025.
Charles Costa, previously known as King Charles, has announced the release of his self-titled album for January 24, 2025.
The musician also shared the record's lead single, ‘Nothing At The Most’ last month, coinciding with the completion of his 90 Marathons in 90 Days challenge - a 4000 kilometre trek along the Crest Trail which has raised over £150,000 for James' Place, a charity dedicated to suicide prevention for men.
Describing the upcoming record, Costa calls it a “collection of songs filled with the sounds and lyrics to represent the journey between longing and lament. I made this record with Jesse Quin (Keane) at Old Jet Studios combining songs with productions to create a new identity for what is essentially my debut album as Charles Costa."
After three revered albums as King Charles, Costa is starting a new era under his real name in an effort to explore introspective themes and his real life vulnerabilities.

The album was crafted during six weeks of sessions in that studio, located in an arts centre housed in a former US Air Force base in Suffolk. It features Costa on vocals, guitar, cello and keyboards, Jesse Quinn on multiple instruments and Tom Hobden on violin.
