The A24 movie is set to star Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel. The film follows fictional musician's (Hathaway) relationship with an iconic fashion designer(Coel).
Charli XCX and Jack Antonoff have been named as writers and producers for original music in A24’s upcoming movie Mother Mary. The film, a pop melodrama from A24 and David Lowery, follows a fictional musician and her relationship with an iconic fashion designer, played by Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel respectively. The movie will also feature an original score, composed by Daniel Hart.
Charli XCX’s ‘Hot Girl’ which was co-written with the 1975’s George Daniel, has already appeared in last year’s A24 murder-mystery Bodies Bodies Bodies. This is the beginning of a trend A24 are set to follow, featuring musicians in a number of upcoming projects including Jane Schoenbrun’s horror film I Saw the TV Glow features Phoebe Bridgers, Snail Mail’s Lindsey Jordan, and Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst; the Eggers Brothers’ The Front Room stars Brandy; and Kid Cudi appeared in X. A 4K restored version of Talking Heads’ Stop Making Sense is also set for release later this year, as well as A24’s The Inspection which will be scored by Animal Collective.
Jack Antonoff just bagged his second consecutive Producer of the Year, Non-Classical, award at this year’s Grammys. His latest collaboration with Lana Del Rey, 'A&W' also recently dropped on Valentine's Day.
