After three months of memes, TikTok dances and cultural revolution "Brat Summer" is over
Charli XCX has taken to social media to call an end to 'brat summer', the months-long viral craze inspired by her sixth studio album BRAT, marked by a tweet from the singer stating: goodbye forever brat summer.
The singer posted a farewell message to her Instagram, along with a compilation of notable TikTok videos using songs from her album. Some of the videos featured superstars like Bella Hadid and Kim Kardashian, and a video of a baby enjoying the album's song '365'.

This summer, Brat-mania was a gift that kept on giving. In mid-July amidst many Brat-themed events, videos flooded social media platforms featuring songs from the album paired with the album's quintessential bright green colors plastered on nails, cakes and t-shirts.

The singer even endorsed U.S. presidential candidate Kamala Harris in a tweet with over 50 million views that simply reads: Kamala IS Brat.
Kamala's campaign responded by leaning into the Brat aesthetic, changing their official X banner to Brat lime-green.
Throughout the summer, Charli kept busy, DJing a viral Boiler Room set with support from rising star The Dare. On August 1st, Charli released a remix of 'Guess' from her album featuring Billie Eilish.
BRAT also recently received a nomination for a Mercury Prize.
Despite the announcement, Charli continues to be in the spotlight for her music. The singer is set to support her album on tour in North America with Troye Sivan and has teased 'The Sweat Tour' with posters and images of the two stars posted on Instagram.
