Charli XCX has claimed her first No.1 on the Official Irish Albums Chart, with her fifth studio album, CRASH.
The English star previously peaked at No.17 with 2014's Sucker, and reached No.21 with 2019's Charli. Her 2020 album, How I'm Feeling Now, peaked at No.27.
"How I’m Feeling Now was a dark arrow aimed at her cult fanbase," Ed Power wrote in his review of the new album for Hot Press. "With CRASH she’s shooting, with a bang and a wallop, for the higher echelons of the charts."
Elsewhere on the chart, Olivia Rodrigo drops to No.2 with SOUR, Dermot Kennedy holds onto No.3 with Without Fear, Ed Sheeran's remains at No.4 with = and Fleetwood Mac rise to No.5 with their box set, 50 Years – Don't Stop.
On the Official Irish Singles Chart, meanwhile, Dave scores a third consecutive week at No.1 with 'Starlight'.

He fights off tough competition from Dublin collective Belters Only – whose hit 'Make Me Feel Good', featuring Jazzy, holds onto No.2. Lost Frequencies and Calum Scott's 'Where Are You Now' also remains at No.3, while Sam Fender's 'Seventeen Going Under' remains at No.4. Manchester rapper Aitch scores his first Top 5 hit in Ireland with 'Baby', featuring Ashanti, at No.5.
There's no major changes in the Irish Homegrown Top 20. Belters Only's 'Make Me Feel Good' holds onto No.1 for another week, while Seamus D's 'Like That' remains at No.2.
Fontaines D.C. and The 2 Johnnies switch places – with the Dublin band's 'I Love You' rising to No.3, and the comedy duo's 'The Streets Of San Francisco' dropping to No.4.
