Charli XCX’s Best Song Ever is out August 9th via BBC Sounds.
“The reason I wanted to do this podcast is because I love talking to people, and I love exploring the emotional connection any person can have with music,” Charli XCX stated of her newest project, 'Charli XCX’s Best Song Ever' - set to premiere on BBC Sounds this Monday.
Each episode, the electro-pop singer-songwriter will ask her guests to share the stories of songs that have shaped their lives, from best heartbreak tracks to go-to party anthem. The show features an impressive lineup of stars, including Addison Rae, Barbie Ferreira, Ziwe, Christine and the Queens, and Caroline Polachek.
“Songs that soundtrack specific moments in life can amplify and affect a moment drastically and so I wanted to explore what those moments and songs are with some of my favourite creative people,” she added. “In every conversation I’ve had, I’ve learnt something brand new about each guest and I feel like I’ve gotten to know each and everyone one of them a little bit more.”
Charli XCX will be releasing her newest single 'Good Ones' on September 3rd. This mark her first music release since how i'm feeling now, an album accompanied by documentary Alone Together that shared her process writing music with her fans during the pandemic.
