The Chasin’ Bull music venue has announced the second annual LIVE & UNSIGNED competition, which will take place in Bundoran, County Donegal, and offer contestants a chance to perform on the live stage at Sea Sessions.
The ‘Battle of the Bands’ style event will take place in January 2019 at The Chasin’ Bull in Bundoran. Ahead of the event, bands are being asked to get their entries in before the end of November deadline for their chance to take part.
This year’s winner will be given the opportunity to perform on the Main Stage at Sea Sessions Surf and Music Festival this summer.
Not just a music event, Sea Sessions has grown and evolved since its inception. It hosts a wide variety of quality music acts – Paul Weller, Dizzee Rascal, Bastille, Tinie Tempah, Bastille, Seasick Steve, Example, Walking on Cars and Picture This have performed there in the past - as well as having surfing and beach sports on the stunning Bundoran beach on the Wild Atlantic Way.
After celebrating its 10th year in 2018, Sea Sessions Surf and Music festival has firmly established itself as one of Ireland’s most highly respected small festivals. This year, it will take place June 20 to 23 and it is expected to be its largest yet.

Much like last year’s Live & Unsigned, this year’s competition will have two semi-finals and a final with a panel of judges to be announced. Special guest artists and drinks promos can be expected each night.
The Chasin’ Bull was runner up at the IMRO Ulster Live Music Venue year 2018. Founded more than two decades ago by Winnie & James O’ Doherty, the venue is committed to four simple ideas; live music, sport, customer service and great beer.
