With summer about to get into full swing, Hot Press is celebrating – by joining forces with Smooch Ice Cream to present The Summer Party, a dazzling evening of unmissable music and tasty treats, with performances from hit-makers Chasing Abbey and special guest Shiv, as well as a free, unlimited ice cream bar!

Taking place on Thursday, June 8, at the Chocolate Factory in the heart of Dublin, The Summer Party celebrates the launch of Smooch's new summer ice cream flavour, Bubble Gum Bliss. It's already shaping up to be an unforgettable summer night, with complimentary tickets available now!

Nothing accompanies the magic of a summer day in Ireland quite like Smooch, the country's No.1 soft service ice cream. As well as the spectacular soft serve ice cream, you can look forward to some amazing music. The evening will culminate in a brilliant, intimate set from one of the most prominent acts in homegrown dance-pop, Chasing Abbey.

Initially making their mark on the Irish scene with breakout tracks like 'Talk To Me' and 'That Good Thing' – both of which have garnered streams in their millions – the Tullamore trio have continued to impress, with energetic live sets and a series of superb singles.

Chasing Abbey have enjoyed a busy 2023 so far. They recently teamed up with a choir for a special version of their single 'Lie', and launched their impressive The Vault series, which finds them uploading one song a week exclusively to SoundCloud and YouTube. One of their latest tracks from the series, the irresistible 'Oh My Johnny', recently hit No.1 in Ireland on SoundCloud's New & Hot playlist.

So, there's never been a better time to catch Chasing Abbey in action!

Shiv will also be bringing her captivating, genre-blending energy to the Chocolate Factory. Following an appearance on the  Hot Press Y&E Series, and a string of lauded releases, the Zimbabwean-Irish artist is primed for international success – as she continues to make serious waves with recent singles 'Heavy Water' and 'Late Now'. Last year's 'Golden', meanwhile, has clocked up over 11.6 million stream on Spotify alone.
