Having been together as a couple for two-and-a-half years, former Girls Aloud singer Cheryl has announced that she and ex-One Direction superstar Liam Payne are going their separate ways.
Cheryl Cole and Liam Payne are splitting up.
One of British pop's most celebrated couples, Cheryl and Liam had been forced to deny rumours in the past that their relationship had hit stormy waters. Now, that has been confirmed, with the 35-year-old Cheryl deciding last night, only hours after her birthday party, to confirm to her 7million Twitter followers that she and Liam are indeed separating.
"We are sad to announce that we are going our separate ways. It's been a tough decision for us to make. We still have so much love for each other as a family," she stated.
Writing about their young child, Cheryl added: "Bear is our world and we ask that you respect his privacy as we navigate our way through this together."
Moments later Liam Payne shared the same tweet.
We are sad to announce that we are going our separate ways. It's been a tough decision for us to make. We still have so much love for each other as a family. Bear is our world and we ask that you respect his privacy as we navigate our way through this together.
