The full list of who, what, where and when for the RDS shindig this weekend has been revealed, with Mark Ronson, Chic and Giorgio Moroder bringing main stage proceedings to a blistering climax on Sunday next...
The stage times have been announced for the Metropolis Festival, which takes place in Dublin this weekend.
The event, which takes place at the RDS in Ballsbridge, will deploy a variety of different venues and stages, in the complex. It sees the return to these shores of the legendary Chic, fronted by Nile Rogers.
Other major acts include German electronic dance legend Giorgio Moroder, Mark Ronson, The Roots, Jamie XX and Hot Press cover stars Le Galaxie.

Meanwhile, there is also a fascinating spoken word area, which will feature a performance by John Cooper Clark, who will also participate in a public interview. Others who will step up to the interrogation room include the great Howard Marks, legendary DJ Dave Rodigan, Hacienda legend Mike Pickering, Rory O’Neill aka Panti Bliss and Minister Aodhán Ó Riordáin, who participates in the panel What The Fuck Is Irish Culture?, which takes place on Sunday at 5.45pm.
The event runs from 12 noon on Saturday Nov 7 till midnight; and from 12 noon till 11,30pm on Sunday Nov 8. Both days open with screenings, which take place in the RDS Concert Hall, with 24 Hour Party People on Saturday; and Block Party on Sunday.
