Childish Gambino has dropped his surprise album Atavista, described on X as the “finished version” of his 2020 record 3.15.20, with the addition of the new track ‘Little Foot Big Foot’

Atavista features artists such as Ariana Grande, 21 Savage, Summer Walker and more, and is followed by the release of a music video of his new single, directed by Hiro Murai and stars Quinta Brunson, Monyett Crump, Rob Bynes, and others.

Most of the songs from the record are polished versions of the album 3.15.10, as noted in Donald Glover’s statement. He adds: “There’s a special vinyl coming soon w/ visuals for each song. The all new childish gambino album comes out in the summer.”

Atavista comes after Glover announced that he would be releasing two more Childish Gambino records before retiring from the moniker. The “all new album”, Bando Stone & The New World , should follow soon, as well as a new tour.

Since 2020, Glover has worked on a number of film and TV projects, such as his FX series Atlanta, his remake of Mr. & Mrs. Smith with Maya Erskine and the development of his upcoming series Lando into a feature film.
