The accusation is being investigated as a battery, according to a police spokesperson.
Singer and rapper Chris Brown has been accused of hitting a woman during an argument in Los Angeles last Friday (June 18).
Authorities responded to a report in a residence located in the San Fernando Valley area, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department has said.
According to police, the incident is being investigated as a battery and is being directed to the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office.
Although very little detail on the incident has been released, TMZ has reported that the woman has claimed Brown slapped her forcefully enough that it caused her hair weave to fall out. Luckily, no other injuries have been reported. It's not clear at the time of writing whether or not Brown will face charges.

Brown's legal trouble around domestic violence stretches back to 2009, when he physically assaulted singer Rihanna. He pleaded guilty to charges of felony assault and completed probation in 2015. One of his other ex-girlfriends, model and actress Karrueche Tran, was granted a restraining order against him in 2017, and in 2019 he was detained and ultimately released in Paris over aggravated rape and drug offences.
Brown's team has yet to comment on the latest accusation.
