Castlebar singer-songwriter Chris Cresham has released a new single called 'Colours'.
The track blends pop with folk influences and went straight to number one in the UK emerging top 40 charts for ‘Future Hits Radio’. It also featured in the A-List and got “Track of the Week” for SPIN radio.
The song delves into the emotional struggles of making music while battling personal challenges. With lyrics like "It’s hard to paint any beauty when I’m tangled up in grief,” the song captures the struggle between creativity and inner turmoil.
Produced by Patrick O’Donnell, 'Colours' incorporates folk instrumentation, featuring the mandolin and bouzouki to create a distinct, textured sound.
Cresham has seen a rise in his career this past year, being named the Wildcard Winner in the 2024 A New Local Hero talent search and selling out a headline gig at Garbo's in his hometown.
