Some of Ireland's music monoliths will take part in a concert paying tribute to Irish sound engineer and producer Tim Martin, who died earlier this year...
Tim Martin was a hugely respected and widely loved figure on the Irish music scene. His extensive list of credits in a long and hugely successful career as a sound engineer, includes The Cranberries, Amy Winehouse, The Corrs, The Waterboys, Christy Moore, Sharon Shannon, Brian Kennedy, Don Baker, The Dubliners, Ronan Hardiman, Mary Coughlan, The Dubliners, Thin Lizzy, Paul Brady, Aslan, Something Happens, The Frames, Mick Flannery, Seamus Heaney and Avril Lavigne. And that really is just for starters.
Tim passed away in June of this year, with his death provoking a huge outpouring of gratitude and tributes.
Speaking about the show, which will take place in Vicar Street, the organisers said:
"This gig will be a tribute to the late Tim Martin, our dear friend and colleague, with whom we worked closely over the past 30 years. He was the outstanding Sound Engineer of our time. Tim’s Family have requested that this gig be in aid of The Irish Hospice Foundation, who will receive all the proceeds from this project.
"The Foundation came on board," the statement added, "as did Aiken Promotions. We plan to have a good night in memory of our Dear Friend."

Christy Moore, who has spearheaded the event, is eloquent in his praise for the late, great sound engineer.
"Tim Martin was the foremost Sound Engineer in Ireland," Christy writes. "He is sadly and badly missed particularly by his Family but also by all of those fortunate enough to have worked with him across the years.
"Apart from the skills and expertise apparent in his work, Tim was a good friend. His attention to detail, his focus, his preparedness to catch those magic spontaneous moments gave us all great confidence in the recording process. On top of all that, Tim was mighty craic!!"
Among the artists already lined-up to play are Christy Moore, Dónal Lunny, Declan Sinnott and Jim Higgins. What promises to be a very special gig will take place on March 13 at Vicar Street, Dublin.
