A fan in the crowd at Christy Moore’s Thursday evening gig at Armagh City Hotel caught a special moment on camera, as the 77-year-old Irish singer invited a young fan onstage to sing.

The comments are full of fans cheering on the boy and applauding his duet with the Kildare musician. Moore and Míceál performed ‘Nancy Spain’ for the crowd, as the boy looked repeatedly at his idol for approval throughout the song.
Míceál’s mother, Dearbhla Bennett, shared in the comments of the post, “To everyone there who cheered him, stood for him and came up to him afterwards, you’ll never know how happy you made him. He’s been singing Christy since before he could talk, and Christy has replied to every letter Míceál wrote him. Christy is a living legend.”
