There’s a sadness in ‘My Enemy’ as he reflects over words that are “so cold, so callous”, but we could trust that Lauren Mayberry’s unmistakable sound could defiantly lift this sobriety. Simultaneously forlorn and valiant, this pairing works on many emotional levels.
