The news arrives just before the artist's major St. Anne's Park headliner on June 7.
ASCAP, the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, are awarding Irish artist Cian Ducrot one of its highest honours, the ASCAP Vanguard Award.
The organisation also announced that they would be awarding TikTok star Kenya Grace the Global Impact Award.
The award comes hot on the heels of what has been a breakout 2023 for Leesider Cian Ducrot, who's debut album Victory topped the charts in the UK and Ireland. Ducrot recently co-wrote SZA’s massive hit 'Saturn', and completed a four-date UK tour supporting Ed Sheeran.
The news arrives just one day before the artist's 20,000 capacity headliner at St Anne's Park.
Cian Ducrot kickstarted his career with his viral TikTok hit 'All for You' in 2022, and peaked at number 19 in the UK charts. A version featuring Ella Henderson was released in August 2022.

Paul Williams, ASCAP Chairman of the Board and President, said of Ducrot's meteoric rise: “A multi-faceted songwriter, Cian Ducrot is quickly becoming one of the industry’s most promising talents with his brilliant voice and heartfelt lyrics. He’s now making waves with some of the world’s biggest artists alongside his own work. We are so pleased to recognise him with the ASCAP Vanguard Award.”
The awards will be presented at ASCAP London Celebrates, an invitation-only VIP event of songwriters and composers taking place in London on 18 June.
Previous ASCAP award recipients include Charli XCX, Dua Lipa, MNEK, Lewis Capaldi, Dev Hynes, Becky Hill.
According to organisers, the event "will bring together ASCAP’s community of UK-based hitmakers, composers and music executives, shining a light on their incredible songwriting and composing talent".
Tickets to see Ducrot at St. Anne's Park on June 7 are priced at €49.90 and are available for purchase here.
