The track is set for release on May 7
Irish star CMAT has announced the debut of her single ‘Aw, Shoot!’ for May 7, marking her first release since her acclaimed 2023 album Crazymad, For Me.
The record was nominated for Irish Album of The Year at the Choice Award. CMAT also performed during the ceremony at Vicar Street in March.
The singer has also been nominated for international artist of the year at the BRIT Awards, and more recently received another nomination for the Ivor Novello Awards alongside fellow Irish acts Jazzy and Lankum.

Speaking of the process of writing her last album in an interview with Hot Press last October, CMAT said: “I purposely try to make myself look bad on this record, because I think I was bad,” she states. “I’m letting people in on a very embarrassing, pathetic, and mean side of myself, because I want people to be able to see themselves in it.”
On top of her new single, CMAT is currently playing a string of shows, including Dublin’s Fairview Park on June 13, and Limerick City’s Thomond Park Stadium supporting Paolo Nutini on July 13.
CMAT’s new single ‘Aw, Shoot’ is set to come out on May 7 and is available for pre-save here.
