"(This music) was so difficult to make it drove me to the point of psychotic delusion," said the singer. "The best music I’ve ever made!"
CMAT has announced a new single, 'Running/Planning,' set for release on March 25.
The Dunboyne singer-songwriter took to Instagram to share a snippet of the song over a video of herself posing in a black and white polka-dot dress while two hands brush her hair and touch up her makeup.
"it is time. she has risen. etc," the singer wrote in her post.

CMAT had previously shared the news in her blog Sinceremat, posting a different snippet over a video of her lip-syncing to the single.
"I cannot tell you how elated i am that this is finally happening, and that you will be finally getting to hear this music," read the blog post. "The music that was so difficult to make it drove me to the point of psychotic delusion. The best music i’ve ever made!"
"She prayed to god in school / For a perfect friend / He looked just like you / Wonder where he went," sings CMAT in one of the song's verses.
The singer was recently announced as part of the line-up for Glastonbury Festival in June 2025.
In July and August, she is set to perform at the sold-out All Together Now Festival 2025, and she will feature as special guest at Sam Fender's Belfast Vital 2025 show.
CMAT's debut studio album, 2022's If My Wife New I'd Be Dead, entered the Irish Albums Chart at No.1 and won the Choice Music Prize for Album of the Year.
Her sophomore album, the critically acclaimed Crazymad, For Me (2023), also debuted at No.1 in Ireland, and scored her nominations for the Best Album categories at the Ivor Novello Awards and the Choice Music Prize. The album was also nominated for the 2024 Mercury Prize.
