CMAT and her band are slated to take on the US, Europe, and the UK, before returning to play three Irish dates.
Irish country-pop superstar CMAT has released a deluxe version of her No.1 debut album If My Wife New I'd Be Dead.
The singer announced the news on Wednesday, June 29, after dropping a reworked version of her song 'Communion'. In an Instagram post the 'No More Virgos' singer regaled fans, saying: "surprise! i’m releasing a deluxe edition of If My Wife New I’d Be Dead on Friday, which features four alternative reworks of songs on the album."
This new version of her iconic debut features alternative versions of 'Communion', 'Geography Teacher', 'No More Virgos', and of course, an acoustic version of the fan favourite 'I Wanna Be a Cowboy, Baby!'.
The Meath native spoke about the first single from the deluxe drop, 'Communion', saying: "this version of Communion is very important to me, as i feel like that song has been maybe the least successful/beloved on the album and i really wanted to give it a second chance.
"When i wrote it, i was listening to copious, dangerous amounts of Lucinda Williams, and thats what the original demo of the song sounded like. I really wanted to get back to that reference of 90’s Americana to see if the song works better once u pull all of the crap out of it, and i kind of think it does! a big ‘Oops’ is in order on that one i suppose?"

The deluxe release comes right in the middle of CMAT's incredible run of festival dates. The self-titled "global pop star" recently played Body & Soul, and will return to Ireland throughout the summer to play All Together Now and Electric Picnic, before beginning her tour.
