In January, RTÉ announced the first waves of acts in the lineup for this year's Choice Music Prize – made up of artists nominated for the prestigious Irish Album of The Year award. Adding CMAT to that list, the eight-strong line-up also features Kojaque, Lankum, John Francis Flynn, Ezra Williams, Soda Blonde, Rachael Lavelle, and The Murder Capital.
Proceedings will be broadcast on RTÉ 2FM in a special four-hour extended show with Beta Da Silva from 7-11pm. A TV special will be aired the following week on Thursday 14th March at 22.30 on RTÉ2.
