The Irish country star is among fifteen international artists nominated for the annual European music award, with a chance to win up to €10,000.
Following her dazzling debut album and a turning point year for Hot Press’ own ‘Hot For 2022’ cover star CMAT, the Irish singer-songwriter is now a nominee for the forthcoming Music Moves Europe Awards.
CMAT is nominated alongside fifteen up-and-coming artists, including Czechia’s Amelie Siba, France’s Kids Return, Denmark’s ee gee and Belgium’s Haunted Youth, plus more. The winners face the opportunity to win thousands of dollars to aid their musical efforts, with a top prize of €10,000.
Nominees for next year’s award were announced yesterday at the MaMa Music Convention and Festival in Paris. As the European Union prize with the purpose of celebrating rising artists, the MME Awards have helped to push forth the careers of many acclaimed figures in music. Previous winners of the awards include Stromae, Alyona Alyona, Rosalia and Dua Lipa.
Music lovers across Europe can vote to select the winner of the Public Choice Award for 2023 through the MME Awards website. The nominee who garners the most votes will receive the Public Choice Award, which comes with a prize of €5,000.

Last year’s Public Choice Award Winner, Armenia’s Ladaniva, spoke on behalf of the awards and as a current jury member. “It will be great for everyone to discover these interesting artists from different countries,” says the artist. “Europe has a lot to offer musically.”
The international jury will select five nominees as winners, with one artist receiving the Grand Jury Prize of €10.000 and a green touring voucher worth €5,000. The other four winners will also receive €10,000 each.
All fifteen nominees are to be invited for a business education day to further their knowledge as players in the industry, organised by ESNS, Reeperbahn Festival and its partners.
Winners of the MME Awards will be revealed at the Music Moves Europe Awards ceremony next year on Thursday, January 19 at ESNS in Groningen, the Netherlands.
