Before a string of shows across Europe this summer, Irish star CMAT has announced the release date for her second album Crazymad, For Me and plans for a UK and Ireland tour starting this November
Irish pop-star CMAT has been busy since releasing her debut album If My Wife New I'd Be Dead last year - especially since she's just unveiled her upcoming sophomore album, Crazymad, For Me with the new single 'Have Fun!'
It's no secret that something was coming, the singer alluding to larger things in the works when she first announced the 4 and a half minute long track 'Whatever's Inconvenient' back in April.
It was her second single released in 2023 coming after the January drop of 'Mayday,' a sexy song about climate change.
Co-produced by Matias Téllez and Rob Milton and mixed by Matias in Norway, 'Have Fun!' is a track about "ring necked parakeets that are wild in London, but also about getting over a breakup and moving on from an emotional stalemate even when you don't, or can't, forget the other person's actions."
my NEW SINGLE Have Fun! is out now! it's about ring necked parakeets that are wild in London, but also about getting over a breakup and moving on from an emotional stalemate even when you don’t, or can’t, forgive the other person’s actions. lol. listen: https://t.co/bkrmaDqvAb

"I suppose it is a song about how things in life are never satisfying and don’t make sense," CMAT reflects, "but they exist anyway and we have to make the best of it. And have fun!”
The video adds to this, giving visual form to what could be considered as the album's formative focal points in an "ambitious summary" - something important as the album's final song.
Shot jointly in Paris and Dublin by Collective Film, CMAT added that 'Have Fun!'s' music video
“I did two days in gay Paree with a wonderful motley crew of amazing locals who transported me back to la belle epoque so convincingly I was ready to storm the Bastille by the time it was done. The video for Have Fun! Sort of encompasses the whole big wide overarching “theory” behind the album, actually. I hope you love it!!”
Crazymad, For Me drops via AWAL on October 13th. Described as an "abstract break-up album," the kind derived from when you're still pissed about something from a decade ago, it includes artwork from Seatton and will continue to do so across the entire album campaign.
