Indie rock outfit Blossoms have teamed up with electronic group Jungle and CMAT on their upcoming new album, their first released on their own label.
English rock band Blossoms, have collaborated with Beyond the Pale 2024 headliner Jungle and Ireland's CMAT on their upcoming new album.
Blossoms have been working on their new album for the last year and it’s the first to be released on their own record label, ODD SK Records.
Their new record is to be follow up to 2022’s Ribbon Around The Bomb, their last record of the four they released with Virgin EMI since their debut in 2016.
Frontman Tom Ogden spoke to BBC 6 Music’s Nathan Shepherd about the new album and opened up about the number of collaborations on the record, telling Shepherd: This album…it’s the most we’ve kind of spread our wings in terms of collaboration,”
Speaking Irish talent CMAT Ogden said that Blossoms "were big fans" of her work.
Continuing the frontman said, "Like CMAT, I heard her stuff this time last year when we were on tour in a record shop in Brighton, and I was like ‘Who is this?’ So yeah and then I just heard her music and was a big fan so we then reached out and kind of did some stuff over the summer"

However, Ogden continued " we don’t know what is going to be on the record".
CMAT who was recently included on the BBC sound of 2024 long list, released her sophomore album Crazymad for Me this year which reached number 1 in Ireland and number 25 in the UK.
The Blossoms also announced a huge outdoor concert at Wythenshawe Park in Manchester for August 2024. The show, which will be the biggest of their career, will take place on Bank Holiday weekend on Sunday, August 25 and will feature support from Irish talent Inhaler.
The Manchester band have released their new single and first taste of their fifth studio album ‘To Do List (After The Breakup)’. However Irish fans will be keeping keen ears out for their collaboration with CMAT next year.
