'A L I E N S' is a track from their upcoming EP Kaleidoscope.
Coldplay have released a new song "A L I E N S" and accompanying lyric video ahead of their Croke Park concert this weekend.
The song is off the bands Kaleidoscope EP which drops later this month. 'A L I E N S' was co-written by Brian Eno, and co-produced by Eno and Markus Dravs (Arcade Fire, Mumford & Sons, Kings Of Leon).
The video features an alien family fleeing from what appears to be an attack on their home planet. While the video is extraterrestrial the song's lyrics reflect the experience of migrants here, with lines such as "oh we just want to get home again."
Coldplay have said they are donating all proceeds from the new song to Migrant Offshore Aid Station (MOAS), a charity which performs search-and-rescue operations for migrants and refugees in the Mediterranean.

The band's new EP will also have a live version of the band's collaboration with The Chainsmokers, 'Something Just Like This', and a collaboration with Detroit rapper Big Sean.
The band's sold-out gig tomorrow is part of their Head Full of Dreams tour, which has a run of stadium shows across Europe and North America this summer.
