The 2026 World Cup will be co-hosted by the US, Canada and Mexico.
Coldplay's frontman Chris Martin and the band’s manager Phil Harvey will help plan the World Cup’s first ever half-time show in 2026.
President of FIFA, Gianni Infantino, confirmed the pair’s role in a statement on Instagram. The World Cup final will be hosted at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 19, 2026. According to Infantino, Martin and Harvey are “working with [FIFA] to finalise the list of artists who will perform during the half-time show.”
Infantino also announced that FIFA plans a takeover of Times Square for the final weekend of matches.
