Conchúr White has today released a new single entitled 'Rivers'. The track is the second single off the artist's upcoming debut album Swirling Violets. 

The first LP from the Armagh singer-songwriter promises to be an allusive and intimate project, set for a January 19th release.

'Rivers' was recorded in a cottage outside Pomeroy in Tyrone. In a post on Instagram Conchúr desrcibed the recording process as minimal, describing 'Rivers' as basically 'a live recording'.

'I added a few harmonies and manipulated my vocal to try and emulate an uilleann pipe in the bridge section, but aside from that it's basically a live recording.'

The artist is set to tour with the Magnetic Fields this November, and perform a set at Dingle's Other Voices in December. Conchúr also has a Dublin date lined up, supporting for Gemma Hayes at her Dublin Folk Festival gig. Tickets are available here.
