Adams’s EP I Admired Your Grace at the End of the World (2 for Joy) is the All Tvvins member's first solo project.
All Tvvins member Conor Adams has announced that he will release a solo EP and an accompanying single tomorrow.
Titled ‘Head of a Lion,’ the single comes from an EP called I Admired Your Grace at the End of the World (2 for Joy).
On ‘Head of a Lion,’ Adams charts epic melodies over a simple base of keys. He sounds like a more stripped-down version of Hozier, his voice overflowing with raw emotion.
Explaining the intent behind his new music, Adams said that “in a world wracked by social, economic, political and cultural turmoil” he hopes to record “a quiet voice in a chasm, whispering fragments of stories.”
“It's trying to navigate depression and elation, existence and non-existence (...) it's an exploration, a collage of both hope and ruin,” he added.
I Admired Your Grace at the End of the World (2 for Joy) will be the first in a series of similar projects, according to Adams. He describes the goal of the series as to provide “an evolving, distant-future, retroactive commentary on a world that is so deeply flawed yet so utterly perfect.”

The EP is Adams’s first solo project. Alongside Lar Kaye, Adams is also half of the indie pop duo All Tvvins. The band’s 2016 debut llVV premiered at number two on the Irish charts, sending the group on a European tour.
Comparing his current album to his work with All Tvvins, Adams said “with All Tvvins, the music is more bombastic so it can be difficult to weave smaller, subtler stories into the compositions, but because the tempo is slower here I can be clearer with my storytelling.”
Before forming All Tvvins, Adams was the singer and guitarist for The Cast of Cheers, a math rock band. The group attained cult success before moving on to more radio-friendly endeavors.
Look for Adams’s new EP and single on all major streaming services tomorrow.
