With just over three weeks to go until Damien Dempsey's highly anticipated Windmill Live show on Thursday, March 27, we're thrilled to announce that hotly tipped Dublin artist Conor Hamilton will also be performing a special guest slot on the night!
Taking place in the Townhall at 1WML, an iconic structure at the heart of the Windmill QTR, this unique Hot Press treat is the latest in a line of brilliant gigs, following performances from James Vincent McMorrow, LYRA, Gavin James, Lisa Hannigan, The Coronas, Hothouse Flowers, The Academic, Moncrieff and more, at one of Dublin’s most rock ‘n’ roll coordinates.
Damo fans may recognise Conor Hamilton from his support slot – as part of the band Motion Control – at one of the Donaghmede singer-songwriter's famous December Vicar Street gigs, in 2022.
Blending elements of post-punk and indie-rock, Motion Control released their latest single, 'Suffer', at the end of 2024, and are currently gearing up for their Paddy's Weekend Extravaganza gig in Whelan's Upstairs venue on March 14.

As the band's lead singer, and as a solo act, Conor has built up a reputation as a captivating force in Irish music – bringing raw emotion and power to his acclaimed live shows, with performances at major festivals, as well as headline sets at the likes of The Button Factory and Whelan's.
Conor has also previously found success on-screen, with a role in the award-winning film Sing Street.
Following that special guest slot, Damien Dempsey is set to take the stage, for an unforgettable one-off show, celebrating the release of his latest album, Hold Your Joy.
This gig serves as a unique opportunity to catch two thrilling Dublin talents in one spectacular setting – so don't miss out!
