The English singer, best known for his YouTube presence, will perform at the Dublin venue on 26 October.
26-year-old English singer Conor Maynard will play Dublin’s Academy on Saturday, 26 October.
Maynard is a longtime YouTube creator who broke into the mainstream upon winning MTV’s Brand New for 2012 award seven years ago. He subsequently released a single, ‘Can’t Say No,’ which has since been streamed over 13 million times, and an album, Contrast, which hit No. 1 in the UK.
Today, Maynard’s YouTube channel is nearing 9 million subscribers and continues to churn out viral videos like the “SING OFF” series, in which Maynard and a musical guest perform different snippets of songs over the backing track of a recent hit. In collaboration with pop-rock group The Vamps, Maynard’s SING OFF to the tune of Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shape of You’ has surpassed over 100 million views.
