Some of Ireland's finest laidback groovesmiths have been unveiled for three exciting nights of music across Ireland - presented by Coors
The Big Chill is on the way! Yes indeed: temperatures might be dropping out there, but so are the beats, with some of Ireland's most exciting dance music talents – in the form of 49th & Main, SHEE and Le Boom – taking the reins for three exclusive nights of keeping it chill, in Cork, Galway and Dublin. The Big Chill is an initiative of Coors.
So break out the beanies, stretch out the mittens and revel in the beer garden with chill beats, refreshing Coors pints, and exclusive prizes at The Big Chill. The message is this: winter belongs to those who embrace it. This is your chance to do it in style!
– First up in The Big Chill schedule is electro-groover SHEE, who has emerged as one of Ireland's most exciting electronic artists. SHEE will be taking over Cork's Deep South, which boasts a legendary beer garden, on Thursday, October 10. It is a must-be-there occasion for fans of great music in Cork.
– The following Thursday, on October 17, beloved Kilkenny duo 49th & Main will be bringing their unique brand of guitar-driven dance music to Mary Mullen's Public House and Courtyard in Galway. These guys are genuinely special.
– Rounding off the series of three very cool gigs are house honchos Le Boom, who've been spreading their wings successfully outside Ireland this year, with shows in Berlin, Paris, London, Manchester, Glasgow and more, and a viral hit in 'Australia'. They'll be providing the beats and taking the roof off the beer garden, over at the Horse Show House, in their native Dublin, on October 19.
This much we can say: The Big Chill is the FRESHEST beer garden event of the season, delivering a unique experience – and phenomenal value. As well as access to some of the best live music the country has to offer, for just €15, attendees gain entry to the venue, a pint of Coors, and finger food, along with some truly cool prizes for the lucky winners on the night.
• Characterised as "Rocky mountain-cold refreshment", Coors is instantly recognisable thanks to the thermochromic ink present on every pint glass, bottle label and can – a marvellous invention that works as a guarantee of quality. The unique ink indicates when your Coors is the perfect, ice-cold temperature. When the mountains turn blue, your Coors is as cold as the Rockies and ready to drink.
