Pretty Happy will play Workman’s and The Kasbah Social Club in December.
Cork trio Pretty Happy have announced their debut Dublin headline show and a Limerick gig to follow up the release of their debut EP, Sluggers Bridge.
The art-punk band will play a gig in The Kasbah Social Club in Limerick on December 3rd followed by a show in The Workman’s Cellar on December 4th. Tickets for both gigs go on sale Friday (July 30th) at 10 am. They will be available on Ticketmaster for the Dublin Show and Yapsody for the Limerick gig.
Pretty Happy released Sluggers Bridge earlier this month, which is available to download on Bandcamp. The energetic EP included the single ‘Sudocream’ which Hot Press described as drawing on “Cork's rebellious traditions with an approach that switches between fast-paced, jagged guitar and melodic spoken word.”
“The brilliantly bizarre track once again marks Pretty Happy as one of the country's most dazzlingly original acts.”
Sluggers Bridge was released via Art For Blind Records and features fan-favourite singles ‘Sea Sea Sea’ and ‘Salami.’ “With Sluggers Bridge we have attempted to capture our live theatre-influenced, art-punk sound,” said the band when talking about the EP.

“We wanted to make this EP as interdisciplinary as possible, incorporating elements of spoken word and taking as much inspiration from the Irish stage as we do the Irish music scene. This EP is uniquely Cork, influenced greatly by the people and humour of the city.”
