Irish traditional musicians Cormac Begley and Liam O'Connor have announced a launch concert for their new album Into the Loam at Vicar Street, Dublin, on June 6.
The pair took to social media to share the news and express their excitement. They stated: "We have a very special night organized and we'll be sharing details over the coming weeks."
Begley, a concertina player from West Kerry, is known for his work across multiple projects, including duets with Liam Ó Maonlaí, Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh, and others. He is the founder of Airt and the Tunes in the Church live concert series. His debut solo album received critical acclaim, earning a nomination for the RTÉ Folk Awards Instrumentalist of the Year in 2018.
O'Connor, a Dublin-born fiddle player, has been recognized as one of Ireland’s leading traditional musicians. His 2017 solo album The Loom earned him a nomination for Best Folk Instrumentalist at the 2018 RTÉ Radio 1 Folk Awards.
