Tickets for the Dublin gigs go on sale this Friday.
Over the past few months, The Coronas' Long Way Home Festival tour has taken them to venues across the country. With support from some of the band’s favourite up-and-coming Irish acts, each show saw The Coronas interspersing some brand-new track with fan favourites from their beloved back catalogue.
Now, The Coronas are bringing the tour to Dublin, for headline shows at The Sound House (December 4), Whelan's (6), The Academy (8), The Olympia Theatre (12) and finally Vicar Street (23).
“No matter how busy we’ve been or even when we lived abroad, Dublin at Christmas has always been home for us," the band revealed in a statement about the gig. "This year we want to do something slightly different: we want to play the venues where we honed our sound as a young band, together with some great Dublin venues that we’ve never gotten to play before.”
The Dublin tour caps off a landmark year for the band, after their single ‘Find The Water’, taken from their upcoming sixth album, topped the airplay charts throughout the summer.
Their Long Way Home Festival gigs in Cork, Limerick, Belfast and Galway all sold out, while upcoming gigs in Wexford and Kilkenny have had additional dates announced - all of which are now sold out. The band are due to head to New York in November where a fourth date has been added to their The Mercury Lounge residency.
