Cosha’s new EP MurMurs is the first project she's released since her album Mt. Pleasant in 2021.
Cosha has released her new eight track EP entitled MurMurs.
Cosha was born in Indiana, USA but raised in Ireland between County Wicklow and Dublin. She was always surrounded by music as her father was a drummer, her mother was a singer and her older brother was involved in the underground UK music scene.
Over the years, she has toured playing at festivals like Coachella, Primavera and Glastonbury. Cosha has written music for the likes of Charli XCX and Mura Masa.
Her album, Mt. Pleasant was the first solo project Cosha has ever released. Two years later she has now released MurMurs which is inspired by “the idea that ‘murmurs’ are always there humming along whether you want to tune into it or not, like a shadow following you,” Cosha says.
The EP has many references to nature, specifically imagery about ocean waves, extensive landscapes and golden hour. This EP is meant to mark a new era for Cosha as she has just left her major record label, management company and long-term relationship. As she puts it, the EP is meant to mark a time for “new beginnings and self-rediscovery.”

When thinking about why she chose this career path, Cosha says, “I think part of the reason that I like making music is to kind of put a call out there into the world and be like, hey, does anyone else feel this way? Is anyone else here? I really like when that gets reverberated back to me. I like being a voice that can keep people company and make them feel less alone.”
To celebrate the release of the EP, Cosha will have a live show at The Workman’s Club, Cellar in Dublin on May 28. There will also be a show in London on May 31.
