Singer-songwriter and producer Cosha announces her upcoming EP Murmurs, set to hit streaming platforms on 9th May. Her first project since Mt. Pleasant in 2021, the EP news comes alongside the release of her newest single ‘Fire Me Up’ out today.

A complicated exploration of love and loss, ‘Fire Me Up’ dives into the intricacies of romance and the pain of letting it go.

“I made that beat on the plane when I was leaving from London to LA,” said Cosha of the new release. “It made it even harder because it was really about that like, ‘I still love you, I still want you in my life but we do need to do this, and we’re both quietly in the distance for each other. You’re never not going to be someone I care about.’”

Serving as the EP’s opening track, ‘Fire Me Up’ is just the beginning of what Cosha has in store for listeners. Dancing between joy and pain, Murmurs expertly navigates the inescapable grey space that comes with change.

“I remember I was trying to sing the vocals and it was obviously really raw and I couldn’t sing it, I kept choking up and crying,” Cosha explained. “That’s actually the take on the song, me trying to hold it in and sing through it.”

After quickly finding her way into the music industry, touring with acts like Mura Masa, Flume, Tirzah & Nile Rodgers and soundtracking commercials for Dior, Apple and Victoria's Secret alongside hit TV Shows Gossip Girl and Conversations with Friends, Cosha has refocused her talents on solo projects. Transitioning from her debut album Mt. Pleasant to her new era, Cosha is turning back to her roots, finding comfort in slowing down.
