The focus track, 'Miss Your Smile', has launched the newcomer into the spotlight.
Emerging artist Niamh Murray has launched her debut EP, One Last Time. The EP – featuring a very special track in 'Miss Your Smile' – offers something very different to most of what is currently on offer among new artists in Ireland.
Following a sold-out show at CQAF, Murray made an explosive leap with this EP, launching with a full band performance at Sound of Belfast last night.
Mentored by renowned Jazz performer and composer Linley Hamilton and performing alongside a troupe of the country's best session musicians Liam Bradley (Ronan Keating), Mark Egan (Pat Metheny Group) and John McCullough (Van Morrison), Murray is poised to make an impact.
'Miss Your Smile' is the focus track from the EP. Her love of the music first discovered in Niamh's youth remains the core driving force in her songwriting. Fuelled with warm acoustics, sonorous brass and charming vocals, the EP melds into a bright soundscape that shifts from country to folk, rock and pop.

“‘Miss Your Smile’ is about being out of a relationship for a while," Niamh explains, "and finding yourself seeing photos, videos or memories of that person on your phone or online and missing your time with them and everything about them, even missing their smile.”
