The new music video releases just days ahead of the debut of her highly anticipated record Things Take Time, Take Time.
Australian indie rock star Courtney Barnett has released a new music video for her latest single, 'If I Don't Hear From You Tonight'.
The newly dropped video sees her jamming out in the stunning desert of Joshua Tree, California. Joining Courtney in this laid back performance is album co-producer Stella Mozgawa on the drums and Welsh songwriter Cate Le Bon on bass.
'If I Don't Hear From You Tonight' is something of an excursion onto new territory for Courtney, as it's one of the first times the songwriter has taken on the topic of love.
"I think my stance in the past was like, 'There's so many love songs and they don't mean anything,' but there's something really special about zooming in on a moment and capturing it," Courtney explained. "'If I Don’t Hear From You Tonight' comes from the state of where my head was at — trying to communicate honestly instead of keeping [my feelings] guarded."
The release comes ahead of the singer's much-awaited third album Things Take Time, Take Time - which is set to release this Friday (November 12th). Having already garnered a number of glowing reviews, Courtney's latest project promises to be her most ground-breaking work yet.
In June of next year, the Australian will be touring the UK alongside rock legends Foo Fighters, as the group return to the island for the first time since headlining the Reading & Leeds Festival in 2019.
