Crowded House, accompanied by very special guests The Waterboys, are set to hit Cork's Musgrave Park on the 23rd of June next year...
Iconic Australian rock outfit Crowded House are set to make their hotly anticipated return to Ireland, playing Cork's Musgrave Park next summer, alongside special guests The Waterboys.
Originally formed by Neil Finn (vocals, guitar, keys, songwriting), Nick Seymour (bass, keys), and the late Paul Hester (drums, vocals), the group’s self-titled debut, Crowded House, went platinum, featuring iconic hits 'Something So Strong' and 'Don’t Dream It’s Over.' Returning with their distinctly melodic style of jangle pop in 2021, Crowded House released their seventh studio effort Dreamers Are Waiting.
Met with widespread critical acclaim, the release signified a warm return to form for the band, with Hot Press's Pat Carty raving: "If you want, as the rolling, wave-like opening track offers, to make ‘Bad Times Good’ then Crowded House are still the men to call. The House always wins..."
Previously playing Trinity's Summer Series in June of last year, the band's newest line-up consists of founding members Neil Finn and Nick Seymour joined by American multi-instrumentalist Mitchell Froom on keys and Neil’s sons Liam and Elroy Finn.
Making their Irish return — this time in the Rebel County — Crowded House are set to be joined by equally iconic British-Irish rock-folk band The Waterboys.

Formed in 1983 by frontman and songwiter Mike Scott, the band have seen sustained success through an illustrious career, with their best-known tracks including The 'Whole Of The Moon,' 'How Long Will I Love You,' 'This Is The Sea' and 'Fisherman's Blues.' The 2024 line-up of The Waterboys features double keyboard players Brother Paul from Memphis and James Hallawell from London, and is grounded by a killer Irish rhythm section, Aongus Ralston (bass) and Eamon Ferris (drums). With a famed reputation as a live band, drama, improvisation tunes and good old Waterboys classics are on the forecast.
A stellar double dose of '80s nostalgia — this gig is not one to be missed...
Tickets for Crowded House plus guests The Waterboys go on sale at 9am, Friday 10th of November, from €49.90 via Ticketmaster.
