DaBaby detained by police after 2 people were shot in Miami
The rapper was questioned and released without charge by the police over the shootout.
DaBaby was questioned by police after 2 people were injured in a shootout on Miami’s South Beach on Monday, May 31st.
The rapper was among "several possible" subjects taken in by the police after the incident, said Miami Beach Police spokesman, Ernesto Rodriguez. He has since been released without charge.
“DaBaby and his crew had an issue with people right next to them in the car. DaBaby and his crew were traveling in around six SUVs, and either a car pulled up on them and started something or their doors hit each other and they got in a fight,” an exclusive source told Page Six
The two who were injured in the gun street battle have not been identified, but were rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center after one sustained a bullet wound in the shoulder and the other in the leg.
DaBaby, whose real name is Jonathan Lyndale Kirk, was found guilty of carrying a concealed weapon in 2019 after the fatal shooting of a 19 year old in a Walmart. The Charlotte rapper was judged to have acted in self-defense and was given one year probation.
