Naming an EP after one of modern art’s most gifted artists might seem a tad pretentious, but then again Ectomorph’s Brendan Gillen has always been about bold statements. After all, IT picked up on I-F’s seminal ‘Space Invaders’; track, and, with most electro focusing on a safe, sub-Moroder dance floor bet, Gillen’s re-examination of splintered and disjointed Detroit rhythms is as brave as it is eerie and alluring.
