The Dublin singer-songwriter is set to make his triumphant return to the Iveagh Gardens in summer 2023.
He may have a run of highly anticipated Irish shows – including four nights at Vicar Street – coming up this month, but Damien Dempsey is already gearing up for summer. Today, he announced that he's set to return to the Iveagh Gardens in Dublin for two summer evening shows, on Friday July 7 and Saturday July 8, 2023.
He'll be joined at the gigs by special guests, who have yet to announced. Like his legendary Vicar Street shows, Dempsey's Iveagh Gardens concerts have become an unmissable event in the Irish live music calendar.
There's also new music on the way from the iconic Irish singer-songwriter in 2023 – following the release of his latest album, the collaborative project Union, in 2018.
Next month will see Dempsey's self-penned theatre production, Tales from the Holywell – directed by Conor McPherson – have its world premiere at the Abbey Theatre, running from January 30 to February 18.
