Damien Rice announces O 25th anniversary tour – including two Dublin shows

Marking the 25th anniversary of his iconic debut album, O, Damien Rice has announced a 25-city tour for 2027 – including two shows at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre in Dublin on March 21 & 22.

The Irish singer-songwriter previously played the venue in 2014, to promote his third studio album, My Favourite Faded Fantasy.

The 25th anniversary tour kicks off in Australia in February, before continuing on to Asia, Europe, the UK, South America and North America.

Originally released in February 2002, O won the Shortlist Prize for Artistic Achievement in Music – a prestigious award for albums that have sold less than 500,000 copies. The album would eventually, however, go on to receive Gold certification in the US. Singles from O – including 'The Blower's Daughter' and 'Cannonball' – have clocked up hundreds of millions of Spotify streams.

You can register for pre-sale tickets for the tour at damenrice.com – with most pre-sales set to start at 10am on Wednesday, October 21.

The Bord Gáis Energy pre-sale for the Dublin shows kicks off at 10am on Thursday, October 22 – while general sale begins at 10am on Friday, October 23.
