Speaking to Billboard, D'Angelo's manager Kevin Liles revealed that the R&B singers third studio album will be released this year.

"There'll be an album this year: there's 14 records so far," said Liles, "we might have a couple of bonus records, but all the recording is basically done and we're mixing and mastering now. Definitely, he'll be back."

Liles described the album as a mix between James Brown, Prince and D'Angelo's earlier work. He also hinted at a tour kicking off this October.
