One of Ireland's biggest media industry festivals returns for its second year
Daniel O’Donnell and Frances Black are set to feature as part of this year’s Drumlinia Festival in Cavan.
The former will open proceedings on October 20 at Cavan Cathedral, with Black bringing things to a close a week later on October 27 in Townhall Arts Centre.
Other events taking place across the week include the industry day, also in the Townhall Arts Centre, on October 24. An array of well-connected speakers and tutors from the Irish and international media industries will be present, including IMRA chairman Willie Kavanagh, Hozier publisher John Saunderson and Nashville Hall of Fame songwriter Sharon Vaughn.
The following day on October 25 sees the Workshop Day take place at the Cavan Institute. Among are vocalist Bazil Meade, who’s previously worked with Paul McCartney and Elton John; RTÉ and TG4 presenter Mary Kennedy, film score composer Michele Busdraghi and master guitarist James Shannon.
